For every kids needs
I'm Bea 先生 or Bear / 熊先生 as the kids like to call me. I am new to the staff here at Sophie's and I am happy to be able to have pleasure to both meet and teach these wonderful children.
I am currently teaching in the afternoon class.
For the past lessons I have evaluated the level of every different child and made exercises for each specific student. As every child is different there needs also differer. So for the younger students todays focus was manly on vocabulary and perfecting their writing skills.
As for the medium level students I had some listening comprehension where I said 10-20 word and they had to write it down, also writing sentance that connects to a picture. After checking their answers, those student that had mistakes were to pratice remembering and writing those words that they have gotten wrong. For those students who didn't managed to remember/ write all words correctly was sent home with homework.
However, they performed so well that the student with most homework only got 5 words for homework.
And finally for the higher level children I gave them some 本文 to read and answer questions that were related to the text, on top of that I wanted them to explain to me in english how/why they choose the answer as they did. Doing this the children get to pratice both their speaking and also their logical thinking since the english grammar and english is really the opposite of each other.
Speaking is very important so I encourage that even if they are not sure that they atleast try. I hope that the kids will learn a lot with me and that I aswell will learn and grow with them.
