Hello everyone!

Now that the kids have memorized their lines for the show, it's all about volume, pronunciation, and dictation! SO, we took our lesson outside ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡We used playtime to practice
our show outside to see how audible our voices were. Surprisingly, the kids did amazing! Many of them excelled in delivering their lines in a loud and confident manner. I am so proud of them and you should be too. All the kids have lines they have practiced for weeks now, so please ask them what their favorite line/part of our show, Sleeping Beauty, is!

昨日ははバレンタインでしたね(^-^)
最近では、お友達同士や自分へのご褒美などにチョコレートを渡すようになってきましたね☆
とっても素敵な習慣だと思います☆

子ども達は、朝から手作りチョコを抱えてニコニコでみんなに配っていました☆
もらったみんなも、嬉しさのあまり、ずっとお手てに握っていて、柔らかくなってしまっていたりもしましたが（笑）
一生懸命、みんなを思って作ってくれたチョコはとっても甘く美味しかったです♪Thank you so much！

Lessonでは、パパ・ママに感謝と大好きな気持ちをお手紙にするWritingをしましたよ♪
とっても可愛くそして、きれいに出来上がりました(^-^)　頑張ったね☆

学年末の発表会・卒園式の練習も進んでいます。みんな分刻みのスケジュールにも関わらす、Sophieでは毎日子ども達の大きな笑い声が響いています☆
私たちもそのパワーを力に、目標に向かって頑張ります(@^-^@)

This week was full of valuable lessons on colors, neat handwriting, directions, pronunciation and so much more! Today we focused on spelling colors in NEAT handwriting!

The kids have improved so much with their parts in the show(´⊙ω⊙`)It's honestly such a pleasant surprise. Even the quietest shyest kids are being expressive, assertive, and awesome at their parts! It's amazing to think the kids can memorize so many lines in English. But, kids are like
sponges and we try to let them absorb as much English as possible during the day. So, when a challenge like a difficult line comes along, they can overcome it with ease and confidence!

It's been absolutely freezing the last couple of days... so definitely cozy up during the weekend to prepare for another exciting & educational new week at Sophie

発表会に向けて、子ども達は毎日一生懸命、練習に取り組んでいます。

今回の発表会は、卒園式を別日程で行うこともあり、予定になかった”劇”を取り入れることになりました！
今回は、一歩踏み出して、今までとは違う観点からキャストを決めてイチから子ども達と一緒に進めています。毎日の練習の中で、覚えるセリフやお歌・スピーチなどが多く、本当に大変だと思いますが弱音をいう子は1人もいません。パパ・ママ達を驚かせたいと、あえてお家では何も練習せず、園でのみ、頑張る姿は、見ていて本当に立派です(@-@)

そんな中にも、pley timeでのゲームやお歌で楽しそうにはしゃぐ姿は、とても微笑ましいです(^-^)

What beautiful weather these past couple of days (^-^)/☆

At Sophie, we've been extremely busy with arts & crafts, song practice, and especially show practice! It must be very difficult for the kids to learn such long lines, let alone in English!
But they are working SO hard and challenging themselves to strive to do better. We, as teachers, ofcourse guide them with how to express emotion, pronunciation, and body movements to ensure they are confident and ready to play each part.

It's going to be a hectic couple of months till the graduation show but at Sophie, we view
things as challenges for the kids and teachers to overcome as a team!! We will have lots of fun creating the show with the children. And obviously, the children will learn so so much.

Today was a little colder than yesterday so we all made sure to stay warm. Today's Word of the Day was..."Think"
We went over the meaning and spelling and practiced some sentences with the word in it. "I think" can be put in front of many phrases so we tried adding it to sentences we already knew.

Today's lesson was about Germany. We went over the 5Cs (Country, Continent, Capital, Currency, Climate). First we went over the 5Cs of Japan and then went on to Germany. After learning each of the 5Cs, we filled in a worksheet to let it seep in. In addition we colored the flag of Germany so that it could be recalled the next time it's seen.

Finally, we practiced the play on Sleeping Beauty. Everyone did their best to try and remember their part as well as add movement to make things more interesting.
